Lab Management Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to become part of our passionate and engaged team. As a Lab Manager, you will be responsible for supervising a small laboratory with two other medical scientists in a multi-disciplinary setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Supervise a small laboratory with two other medical scientists in a multi-disciplinary setting (Biochemistry, Haematology/Coagulation/Blood Bank)">
  • Perform some laboratory work as part of your duties">
  • Prioritise work flow to meet client's requirements">
  • Ensure results are released within agreed turnaround times">
  • Liaise with senior staff and Pathologists regarding unusual and abnormal results">
  • Ensure all laboratory equipment is maintained in optimal condition and working order, all scheduled routine maintenance is performed, and any unscheduled maintenance is performed as required">
  • Review and update all laboratory documentation as required">

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:

  • ">
  • Tertiary Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent">
  • Must hold AIMS accreditation">
  • At least 3 years' experience in a multi-disciplinary environment">
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build meaningful partnerships">
  • Experience in working under tight deadlines to meet day-to-day targets, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks within set timeline">
  • Results-oriented and a proactive and effective problem solver">
  • Proven skills in defining, prioritising, and organising competing tasks to meet deadlines">
  • Ability to always demonstrate the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity">
