Employment Consultant - Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Employment Consultant to join our team. As an Employment Consultant, you will play a crucial role in supporting participants with mental health conditions to achieve their employment goals.


Your primary responsibility will be to manage a caseload of participants and provide tailored support that empowers them to succeed in the workforce. You will work closely with participants, their families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement personalized plans that address their unique needs and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver employment services to participants using the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Model, the world's most evidence-based approach to employment for people with mental illness.
  • Support participants through every step of their journey, from vocational profiling to job placement and post-placement support.
  • Monitor outcomes, keep accurate records, and contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery.

Requirements
  • A relevant Certificate III or higher qualification in Employment Services, Community Services, Mental Health, or a related field.
  • Experience in employment services, mental health support, or disability services.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with participants, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Business development skills and local employer connections (highly regarded).
  • A current driver's license and own vehicle.
  • The ability to obtain all required clearances (NDIS, Working with Children, Police Check).
