About the Role

As Senior Risk Management Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing effective Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management systems, processes and governance activities across the organisation.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the HSE Risk, Governance and Assurance team to ensure that the HSE strategy aligns with business objectives and is effectively embedded across the organisation.
  • Designing, developing and facilitating initiatives to enhance HSE governance and risk management capabilities.
  • Promoting and supporting improvements in hazard, near miss and incident reporting, and identifying programs to improve event reporting culture.
  • Developing and instilling a workplace culture that prioritises health, safety and environmental best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Designing, developing and embedding a HSE risk, governance and assurance program across all Business Units, including audit programs and control validation methods.
  • Overseeing incident investigation processes to drive continuous improvement and compliance with policy.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Health, Safety, Environment, Engineering, Technology or Business discipline.
  • Proven leadership experience in HSE, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a high-risk industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE legislative frameworks and ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Experience in incident investigations, auditing and assurance.
