Senior Credit Analyst Position

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join our team at Impel Management. As a seasoned professional in corporate/institutional banking, you will be part of a high-performing team responsible for supporting Relationship Managers in achieving financial targets and ensuring strong risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and compile relevant credit information and financial reports for submission to relationship managers.
  • Assist with the credit assessment of new facility applications and prepare expression of interest letters.
  • Conduct thorough financial modeling, risk grading, and risk submissions for new and existing client facilities.
  • Create accurate term sheets for new clients and facility renewals/variations, as well as generate tax invoices.
  • Liaise with panel lawyers to facilitate security document creation and maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with market research, including construction and engineering sectors, clients, and competitors.
  • Evaluate bond applications, bond wording, and construction contracts.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of internal management reports.
  • Foster relationships with clients, brokers, and stakeholders through regular meetings, calls, and functions.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in a credit role within corporate/institutional banking.
  • A business or finance-related tertiary qualification and relevant industry experience.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
  • High attention to detail, particularly when preparing financial models, risk grades, and credit paper writing.
  • Solid business acumen, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
