Senior Manager- Investment Risk Specialist

About the Opportunity
Join a specialist investment firm with a diverse global client base. The company is dedicated to investing across international markets and navigating various market circumstances to achieve high performance.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior risk and compliance professional to manage the client's investment risk space, including investment compliance and corporate risk and compliance. Reporting to the CEO directly, this role will also collaborate with the client's board on maintaining governance and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the investment risk monitoring framework properly detects any breaches globally.
- Coordinate with the research team to enhance the client's investment risk monitoring framework and assess risk procedures and frameworks.
- Organize appropriate risk documentation for concise reporting to stakeholders.
- Accountability for the client's investment performance and attribution reporting.
- Review and consult on ESG investment risks by partnering with the research and investment teams.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Relevant tertiary degree qualifications in law, commerce, economics, finance, or related fields.
- Experience in investment risk in senior and/or leadership roles, within funds management organizations.
- Proven background working with multiple asset classes highly regarded.
- Highly developed understanding of the risk and compliance landscape, regulations, and emerging issues in the financial services industry, with an ability to adopt operational practices.
- Solid knowledge of the funds management landscape, investment, and portfolio risk management and funds management compliance.
- Strong understanding of SOPs, compliance, and risk management, audit, and governance within funds management.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
