Building Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in building surveying and compliance while working on a wide range of commercial and aviation projects in a highly specialised and regulated environment.

This role will provide opportunities to work with experienced Building Surveyors and Airport Building Controllers, contributing to the assessment of major developments under federal legislation.

  • Assist with BCA/NCC assessments and technical reporting
  • Support the preparation and tracking of documentation for permits and approvals
  • Attend site inspections and contribute to inspection records and compliance reports
  • Maintain and organise project files, registers, and compliance documentation

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Currently completed tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying or Construction Management
  • Prior experience with class 2-9 projects is an advantage
  • A strong interest in building compliance, construction legislation, and the National Construction Code (BCA)
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior consultants
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work within project deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Australian citizenship (required for baseline security clearance)
