Junior Building Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our team in Sydney.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience in building surveying and compliance while working on a wide range of commercial and aviation projects in a highly regulated environment.

You will be supported by experienced Building Surveyors and Airport Building Controllers, gaining exposure to the assessment of major developments under federal legislation.

As a Junior Building Compliance Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with BCA/NCC assessments and technical reporting;
  • Supporting the preparation and tracking of documentation for permits and approvals under relevant regulations;
  • Attending site inspections and contributing to inspection records and compliance reports;
  • Maintaining and organising project files, registers, and compliance documentation;
  • Providing administrative support to the Airport Building Control team, including data entry, document formatting, and correspondence preparation.

You will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to client communication and regulatory workflows in a federally governed environment.

In this role, you will work closely with our experienced professionals to deliver high-quality results and contribute to the growth and success of our business.

The ideal candidate will have strong skills in communication, organisation, and attention to detail. You will also have a willingness to learn and take direction from senior consultants.

Key qualifications include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying or Construction Management;
  • Current knowledge of building codes and regulations;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
