
Culturally Sensitive Healthcare Specialist

The aim of this role is to enhance healthcare outcomes for First Nations peoples accessing services, aligning with the objectives of a regional health equity strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish effective partnerships within the service and with external stakeholders.
- Provide cultural support to First Nations peoples accessing services.
- Support multidisciplinary teams to understand the social, emotional, and well-being needs of First Nations consumers.
- Deliver evidence-based health assessments, health promotion, education, and illness prevention activities, as well as primary healthcare services.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Indigenous status as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
- Compliance with vaccination requirements against certain vaccine-preventable diseases.
