Job Title: Advanced First Nations Health Worker

**Job Description:**
The successful candidate will be responsible for working collaboratively with healthcare professionals and community members to develop and implement effective health strategies that address the unique needs of First Nations peoples. This will involve providing culturally sensitive support and education to patients, families, and carers, as well as contributing to the development of policies and procedures that promote cultural safety and awareness within the healthcare setting.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
To be successful in this role, you will require:
  • High-level interpersonal, communication, consultation, and negotiation skills
  • Cultural lived experience and understanding of the cultural factors and histories that affect the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people today
  • A Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or a related field
As a qualified Advanced First Nations Health Worker, you will have a strong foundation in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and health issues. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people, including patients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals.
