We are a community organisation providing domestic and family violence counselling, crisis response, risk assessment, safety planning, case management, court assistance, information and referral, community liaison and education, and awareness-raising campaigns across the Mackay region.


Salary


The estimated salary for this position is between $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.


Job Description


This role involves providing specialist therapeutic counselling, case management, risk management, and safety planning interventions with families affected by domestic and family violence and sexual assault. The primary responsibility of this position is to work in partnership with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate high-quality service responses.


Required Skills and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field (e.g., social work, psychology)
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly those affected by domestic and family violence
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development
