As a key member of our Pact Packaging team, you will play a vital role in driving operational excellence and efficiency within our manufacturing facilities. As a Maintenance Manager, your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial plant and equipment, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and productivity.

Prioritizing safety, health, and environmental considerations, you will lead by example, fostering a proactive and collaborative culture among your team and stakeholders. With a strong engineering background, you will be responsible for managing the operation and maintenance of our plant, installations design, and upgrade changes. You will work closely with the production team to drive best practice and continuous improvement initiatives that maximize efficiency and improve operational performance.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the operation and maintenance of all industrial plant and equipment, installations design, and upgrade changes
  • Assisting with long-term capital planning and implementing capital projects
  • Providing leadership, coaching, support, and performance management to maintain plant production capability and meet demand output requirements
  • Managing engineering improvement initiatives and priorities in line with overall business/site objectives
  • Driving and leading efforts for continuous improvement to engineering and production efficiencies
  • Managing the engineering department's Safety, Health & Environment program (Toolbox meetings)
  • Enhancing and expanding the site's preventative maintenance program, coordinating all contractor support, services, and maintenance activity

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and a "Toward Zero Harm" mindset. You will also need to possess an engineering degree or trade qualifications, with experience in continuous improvement and change management. Additionally, you should have outstanding communication skills, facilitation, coaching, and development skills, as well as formal training or working experience in Lean manufacturing techniques and root cause analysis.
