Job Title: Scheduling and Operations Coordinator Key Responsibilities:

The Scheduling and Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring that transport orders are efficiently scheduled, optimized, and executed in line with customer expectations and compliance standards.

  • Manage the full transport cycle from order receipt to delivery confirmation
  • Optimize loads, routes, and capacity using internal Transport Management System (TMS) tools
  • Allocate orders to compliant carriers and ensure adherence to operational procedures
  • Monitor and manage exceptions to minimize service risks and delivery delays
  • Maintain accurate master data and ensure all records are current within the system
  • Liaise with both carrier and customer operational teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Conduct safety and compliance checks in line with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) standards
 Requirements:
  • A strong background in transport operations, freight scheduling, or logistics coordination is essential
  • Proficiency with TMS systems and optimization tools is required
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is necessary
  • Proven ability to manage fluctuating workloads and maintain composure under pressure is essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Sound judgment and analytical thinking when making operational decisions
  • Understanding of Australian road transport regulations and compliance practices
