Product Design Position

We are seeking a skilled Product Designer to develop high-quality industrial, commercial, and consumer products. This role is responsible for designing innovative solutions that meet customer needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and create product prototypes using computer-aided design (CAD) software and CNC programming
  • Consult with clients and stakeholders to understand project objectives, constraints, and requirements
  • Conduct market research and analyze functional, aesthetic, and cultural factors that impact product design
  • Develop design concepts and prepare visual aids, such as sketches, diagrams, and 3D models, to communicate ideas
  • Negotiate design solutions with clients, management, sales, and manufacturing teams
  • Specify materials, finishes, and production methods for product manufacture
  • Detail and document designs for production
  • Prepare and test prototypes and samples
  • Supervise the preparation of patterns, programs, and tooling for manufacturing
  • Assess job plans and identify potential issues
  • Measure and allow for necessary clearances and tolerances
  • Select materials for suitability and inspect for defects
  • Draft design patterns and templates

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in product design and CAD/CNC programming
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Commitment to health and safety and ability to obtain relevant certifications
  • Ability to estimate production time frames and provide ongoing workflow support
  • Professional appearance for client interactions
