About Peer Support Consultant Role

Beaumont People are proud to partner with Your Side in finding their next Peer Support Consultant.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to join a reputable organization as a hybrid role.

The role involves travel and out-of-office hours requirements such as overnight stays, evenings & weekend trips. You will be financially compensated accordingly.

As a Peer Support Consultant, you will deliver effective in-person and online peer support for carers.

You will facilitate group sessions where carers meet to share their experiences, learn from one another, and develop networks to help support and connect with one another.

  • Deliver structured session plans to peer support groups that create an enjoyable and authentic environment for carers
  • Empower carers through the CHIME framework
  • Establish and maintain network relationships with key agencies, other providers, and referral services
  • Actively participate in a team by contributing to collaborative working relationships, team initiatives and professional development

You will also engage in activities that are fun and in alignment with group needs such as movie nights, workshops, weekend retreats and more.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Lived experience as a carer (essential)
  • Previous experience facilitating peer support groups or programs
  • An enthusiastic, outgoing and fun personality
  • Strong communication skills to manage groups
  • Highly organized and able to coordinate events, and workshops, and liaise with suppliers/vendors and transports
