Job Title

A dedicated and empathetic Carer Support Specialist is required to join our mental health services team.

  • Supporting staff to enhance their capacity for carer-inclusive practice
  • Collaborating with carers to promote systemic improvements and amplify the carer voice
  • Developing and implementing strategies to increase organizational capacity for partnership working with carers
Key Responsibilities
  1. Foster a culture of inclusivity and respect for carers' experiences
  2. Engage with carers to identify and address systemic barriers to their involvement
  3. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement carer-centric initiatives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Personal experience of caring for someone experiencing mental distress
  • Demonstrated experience using recovery principles
  • A degree in a relevant field (required for payment at graduate rate)
