Event Operations Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Event Operations Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized and detail-focused individual to play a key role in the planning and delivery of cycling events across Australia.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders, clubs, and event organizers to ensure smooth event execution.

About the Role

This role is responsible for the planning and delivery of state-level events, including managing event sanctioning, coordinating the state/territory race calendar, and providing support to event delivery partners.

The Event Operations Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all events are delivered to the highest possible standard, while also upholding the principles of our organization's policies and operating procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver state-level events, working closely with stakeholders and event organizers.
  • Manage event sanctioning, including coordination of the state/territory race calendar.
  • Provide day-to-day support for event delivery partners, including clubs, private organizers, suppliers, and race directors.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures and policies are implemented for all events.
  • Supervise event volunteers as required.
  • Oversee the appointment of event and state-appointed technical officials.
  • Contribute to the development of the annual events operations plan and budget.
