About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Collective Impact Facilitator to join our team at Mission Australia. As a key member of our community development team, you will play a critical role in leading our collective impact initiative in the Mid Coast region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build Strong Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, community organizations, and government agencies to facilitate collaboration and engagement in the collective impact initiative.
  • Research and Promote Strengths-Based Approaches: Conduct research and explore strengths-based approaches to community-led systems change, and promote these approaches to stakeholders and community members.
  • Capacity Development and Support: Identify capacity development and support needs within the collective impact initiative and assist members to deliver training and development activities as required.
  • Community Action Groups: Ensure community action groups are functional, and members understand the objectives, principles, and approaches of the collective impact initiative, and how their activities align with the overall vision.
  • Strategic Planning and Implementation: Collaborate with backbone members and governance groups within the collective impact initiative to develop and implement strategies, policies, and processes to ensure leadership and working groups operate effectively.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate the objectives of the collective impact initiative to the community and potential partners using a range of strategies, including email, meetings, quarterly newsletters, social media, media releases, and website updates.
  • Reporting and Administration: Maintain accurate records of services provided as per the requirements of the funding body, and complete a range of administration tasks, including internal and external program reports.
Requirements for Success
  • Relevant Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in human services, education, communications, or a related field.
  • Systems Knowledge: Sound knowledge and understanding of systems issues facing vulnerable children, young people, and families.
  • Collective Impact Principles: Sound understanding of collective impact principles and practices, including the ability to provide effective leadership in the implementation of the collective impact initiative, with a strong focus on shifting power to community members and enabling diverse forms of leadership.
  • Evidence-Based Practices: Sound understanding of evidence-based practices and approaches across a range of service delivery areas, and support for the design and implementation of outcomes measurement frameworks.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Demonstrated success in collaboration and building strong, respectful relationships for the purpose of achieving systems and/or project-level outcomes, and proven ability to communicate complex information in a simple, yet compelling way, both through written work and through group facilitation to multiple audiences.
  • Driver's License: Current unrestricted NSW Driver's license.
