About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Records Officer to join our Quality, Compliance and Risk Team at Box Hill Institute. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate classification and sentencing of BHI records in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, retention schedules, and policies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accurately classifying and sentencing BHI records in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, retention schedules, and policies
  • Carrying out the appropriate actions for sentenced records, including indexing, cataloguing, archiving, transferring, and disposing of records in line with BHI's business processes
  • Providing high-quality advice and support to managers and employees engaged in financial transactions throughout the organisation
  • Working under general direction to ensure compliance with government regulations, including the BHIG's financial policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in records management is preferred but not essential
  • Experience in a similar role managing records in accordance with legislation, regulations, and policies
  • Able to safely handle archive boxes
  • Ability to manage time effectively to complete projects on time
  • Proven knowledge of and experience in ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, plus demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
