Assistant Coordinator Job Description">

The role of Assistant Coordinator is a vital part of our team, supporting the day-to-day operations of our Outside School Hours Care service.

You will be responsible for assisting the Service Coordinator with program development and implementation, managing the day-to-day running of programs, ensuring compliance with policy and procedures, supporting staff management, and undertaking administrative tasks such as record-keeping and reporting.

As an Assistant Coordinator, you will work collaboratively with families and the school community to provide high-quality care and support.

  • Assisting in developing and implementing programs that meet the needs of children and families.
  • Managing day-to-day operational tasks, including staff supervision and record-keeping.
  • Supporting the Service Coordinator in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications">

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Completed or currently studying relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (minimum Diploma in Children Services).
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
  • NQF knowledge would be advantageous.
