As a Crop Development Specialist, you will lead the company's Australian Sorghum breeding program and team. With a focus on developing competitive hybrid Sorghum varieties, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development of advanced germplasm through cooperation and information exchange
  • Lead a small team of employees in the breeding program
  • Collaborate with other breeders, technical and commercial staff, and external partners

Requirements:

  • PhD qualifications in plant breeding or genetics
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial breeding and genetics environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in large scale sorghum breeding programs or other broadacre hybrid seed crops
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
