About the position

The Program Leader Development Control will be responsible for exercising managerial responsibility for the Development Control Section of the Environmental & Regulatory Services Branch, including coordinating the overall compliance functions across multiple disciplines.

The position will manage the teams to perform in an efficient and effective way to provide service delivery in an 'ePlanning' and Pathway environment. The position will have a 'solutions and outcomes' orientated mindset with significant experience in negotiation, mediation, conflict resolution, investigations and enforcement.

This position will work under broad direction.

Our Environmental & Regulatory Services team is the front line of Council's regulatory activities and works hard at keeping our community safe. We're a dynamic, multidisciplinary team made up of compliance officers, technical specialists, disaster management officers and administrative officers. Together, we oversee a wide range of essential services, including the Animal Management Centre, Local Laws compliance, Environmental Health, Regulated Parking compliance, Building and Development compliance and Disaster Management.
