About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our experienced projects team at Duratec Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and coordination of Defence sector construction, refurbishment, and remediation projects across the Newcastle and Hunter regions.

With a strong focus on delivering high-quality results, you will work collaboratively with our Project Manager to ensure the successful execution of projects. Your responsibilities will include planning and coordination of works, equipment, and personnel, as well as compiling and creating QA/QC documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and coordination of works, equipment, and personnel
  • Compiling and creating QA/QC documentation
  • Coordinating direct labour workforce, suppliers, and sub-contractors
  • Programming and scheduling works
  • Preparing RFI's and Quantity take-offs
  • Ensuring compliance with HSECQ requirements
  • Pricing variations
  • Managing computer systems to ensure compliance
Requirements
  • Post-graduate experience in a similar role within the building and construction industry
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a similar discipline
  • The ability to positively influence, develop, and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • An understanding of the bigger picture and ability to self-manage own workload while working well in a team
  • Proven problem-solving ability and can 'think outside the box'
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
