Infrastructure NSW is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to coordinate and assist with overseeing key delivery of infrastructure projects across Newcastle and wider NSW. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and administering construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with plans, designs and specifications. Your expertise in civil engineering and project management will enable our teams to work cohesively and ensure the smooth delivery of key projects. Key responsibilities include:

* Coordinating and administering construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with plans, designs and specifications
* Participating in monthly financial reviews and providing cost forecasts against budgets to understand cost to complete
* Leading and supporting a strong safety culture
* Managing the construction program and implementing mitigating measures to keep the program on track
* Demonstrating financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
* 5+ years relevant civil construction experience
* Have a sound understanding of typical construction specifications used in the Australian construction industry
* Excellent stakeholder management experience
* Drivers license and own transport
