Project Engineer Job Description

As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of our projects. You will be responsible for providing input and oversight to pre-planning and construction delivery to achieve project time and budget objectives.

Successfully lead the project delivery process and drive completion of work in accordance with requirements. Deliver works that fully satisfy the client's expectations of time, cost, safety and environmental objectives.

Additionally, managing site subcontractors and suppliers to complete projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and fulfill obligations for construction in line with procedures, relevant codes and standards, and industry best practices.
  • Review and arrange the approval of designs as construction progresses.
  • Accountable for all construction management to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
  • Accountable for design adherence or controlled changes in line with procedures.
  • Define and implement quality assurance systems and processes required to fulfill requirements.
  • Act as technical representative and nominated signatory for all hold and witness points.
  • Any other task directed by line management inline with experience and skillset.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Structures) and Chartered Engineering Status, working towards, or with intention to apply.

They must also possess a Rail Infrastructure Workers Card "RIW", plus relevant track access competencies, and a NSW Construction Industry Safety Induction "White Card". Current Class 1 (Minimum) Driving License is also essential.

The candidate should have 3-7 years post graduate experience with 1+ years site based, demonstrated delivery of minor/major projects to program and budget specifications in a leadership role.
