Records Management Officer

Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for records management? We are seeking a Records Officer to join our Quality, Compliance and Risk Team at Box Hill Institute.
In this casual role, you will assist with and support the records appraisal program by accurately classifying and sentencing BHI records in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, retention schedules, and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately classify and sentence BHI records in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, retention schedules, and policies.
• Carry out the appropriate actions for sentenced records, including indexing, cataloguing, archiving, transferring, and disposing of records in line with BHI's business processes.
• Work under general direction as a key member of the Quality, Compliance and Risk Team, providing high-quality advice and support to managers and employees engaged in financial transactions throughout the organisation.
About You:
We are looking for an individual with relevant qualification in records management or a similar field. You will have experience in managing records in accordance with legislation, regulations, and policies. Additionally, you will possess excellent time management skills, able to safely handle archive boxes, and demonstrate a proven knowledge of and experience in ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
