Document Management Specialist

The Documents and Records Analyst supports the development, implementation, and ongoing operation of a robust document and records management function at the Box Hill Institute. This role is responsible for ensuring information is appropriately and easily accessible, stored, distributed, and managed according to organisational and legislative requirements.
This includes supporting BHI employees to ensure compliance with record keeping practices, develop documents and records management policies and procedures, and identify opportunities for improvement. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to assess and respond to requests associated with relevant legislation and regulations.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will require relevant, demonstrated experience in document and records management, a current Victorian Driver's license, and knowledge of applicable legislation related to records management. You will also have experience uplifting organisational capability and development of strategies, as well as knowledge of relevant retention and disposal authorities (RDAs) with the ability to apply the schedules to systematically dispose of records.
As a strong communicator with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, you will have high-level problem-solving skills, including the ability to solve operational issues. You will also have sound communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, as well as organisational and planning skills, ensuring projects and business-as-usual work are delivered in a timely manner.
