Job Title

A highly motivated professional is required to lead a high-performing team of sales executives, driving commercial outcomes across a portfolio of iconic brands.

This dynamic leadership role involves building capability, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering against both short-term sales goals and long-term strategic business objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for growing others.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the sales team to deliver sales targets and grow market share through new contracts and strong profitability outcomes.
  2. Coach and mentor team members to uphold best-in-class execution standards, including maintaining regular call rates, sales call processes, negotiation support, and achievement of short-term incentives.
  3. Deliver impactful quarterly sales briefings and planning sessions at branch/state level.
  4. Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key customers.
  5. Support team members in crafting compelling, insight-led proposals that align customer needs with brand strategies.
  6. Drive commercially sound negotiations using deep market knowledge and strong customer insights.
  7. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, category, and finance teams to bring customer-specific programs to life.
  8. Champion the company's sales process in every customer interaction, coaching others to do the same.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing sales teams in the liquor or FMCG sector.
  2. A people-first leadership approach that inspires, empowers, and holds teams accountable to deliver outstanding results.
  3. Strong coaching mindset with the ability to uplift capability across execution, customer engagement, and commercial acumen.
  4. Skilled at creating a culture of trust, feedback, and continuous improvement—balancing challenge with support.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence, motivate, and lead through change.
  6. Familiarity with tools and processes that support team performance, such as CRM systems, performance metrics, and field coaching plans.
  7. A passion for growing others and shaping the next generation of sales leaders.
  8. Deep understanding of the Australian liquor landscape, including market, channel, and shopper dynamics.
  9. High personal accountability, a solution-focused mindset, and a consistent drive to deliver results.
