Are you a skilled communications professional looking to make a lasting impact on people and communities in New South Wales? We have an exciting opportunity for a Community & Customer Engagement Manager to join our team at Transport for NSW.

About the Role

In this challenging role, you will be responsible for leading a strong and experienced communications and engagement team. You will deliver a range of internal and external strategic communication and stakeholder engagement services within the Grafton and surrounding areas.

Your expertise will amplify the impact of initiatives, foster public trust, and ensure our stakeholders are engaged and empowered by what we do. You will work closely with the community and place branch within the regional and outer metropolitan division on a fixed-term basis until December 2026.

  • You will manage and oversee a strong and experienced communications and engagement team.
  • You will support the Coffs Harbour Bypass Project and ideally be based either in Coffs Harbour or the surrounding North Coast area so you can attend the project site in person several days per week.
  • You will draw on your extensive experience to provide specialist advice and guidance regarding community consultation, customer information, internal communication, issues management, and digital strategies.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to be a knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate communications and engagement leader with strong people management skills. You will thrive in a supportive team environment with people who rally together to ensure communities are effectively engaged and communications to key stakeholders are of exceptional quality.

  • You will be based in or around the Grafton area and have solid experience leading and developing a community and/or customer engagement team.
  • You will enjoy working in a hybrid way and thrive when provided with flexibility and autonomy to deliver results.

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. In addition to your salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including:
