Data-Driven Biomedical Research Expert

We are seeking an experienced Bioinformatician to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for designing experiments, building cutting-edge algorithms, and applying best-practice computational tools to transform complex clinical and experimental datasets into meaningful insights.
You will work hands-on with diverse data types including single-cell transcriptomics, genomics, epigenomics, proteomics, and structural biology helping uncover discoveries that could shape future research and clinical decision-making.
In this role, you will also be embedded in a team of experienced bioinformaticians fostering deep collaboration and continuous learning.
The appointment is for a full-time fixed-term contract. However, part-time capacity may be considered for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to activities enhancing the awareness reputation and standing of the facility.
- Assist in preparing grant applications for collaborative research projects.
- Conduct and support research experiments and projects independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate scientific knowledge and technical expertise with a commitment to continuous learning and development.
- Apply your expertise to a diverse range of projects and identify optimal solutions to research problems collaborating with core facilities as needed.
- Prepare and report research data for documentation and presentations to the facility team and project stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and support the archiving of research data and shared resources.
- Support the leader with facility operations administrative tasks and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development and deployment of facility tools technologies and services prioritizing tasks as directed.
- Actively participate in facility and Institute scientific meetings.
- Engage in training activities alongside other team members.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other Core Facilities.
- Support the leader in improving quality management systems.
- Share knowledge and promote through seminars Discovery Days and similar events.
