Job Title: Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team.

This is a permanent full-time role, with an 8 days on / 6 off roster. Dayshift only.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental responsibility.
  • Promote safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform high-quality risk assessments, utilise SAP, update work order history, and handovers.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, attend breakdowns, and run complex diagnostics/testing and fault finding of all infrastructure equipment.
  • Work from schematic drawings, prints, plans, or manuals, and record any modifications.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in implementing new initiatives.
  • Provide input into root cause investigations and help resolve issues affecting equipment reliability.
Requirements:
  • Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate (Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner/Machinist or Hydraulics, or Heavy Duty Fitter).
  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems.
  • Certificate III in Mines Rescue (highly desirable, upskill available).
  • Aerodrome Reporting Officer (desirable).
  • Valid Australian C class driver's license.
  • Basic computer literacy with SAP experience advantageous.
  • EOHS/Confined Space, Working at Heights, EWP, Forklift, Dogging certificates (Desirable).
