Key Responsibilities

The role involves carrying out maintenance activities in accordance with established plans, as well as performing breakdown maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Accurate information must be provided to update the maintenance information system.
  • All required reports must be completed correctly.
  • Monitoring the environment and reporting to the Line Manager on an ongoing basis regarding the status of plant and equipment is essential.
  • Understanding all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative obligations is crucial.
  • Corrective action must be taken where necessary in response to reported defects.
  • Work must be carried out in accordance with statutory requirements and the shutdown department HSEQ plans.
  • Identifying and reporting potential safety hazards and taking appropriate actions is vital.
Requirements

Candidates should possess a Fabrication Trade Certificate, 2-3 years experience in a similar role, sound knowledge of welding procedures, and the ability to fabricate, service, diagnose, and repair Machinery and Fixed Plant equipment.

  • Excellent communications and organisational skills are essential.
  • Previous FIFO or mine site experience is desirable.
  • Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications are required.
  • A White card is also mandatory.
