Electrical Maintenance Specialist

The role of Electrical Maintenance Specialist presents a compelling opportunity to leverage technical expertise in electrical maintenance, asset reliability, and process control. In this position, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on water infrastructure assets, including pumps, chlorination systems, and bore field equipment.
This requires a strong background in HMI and PLC system diagnostics, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems efficiently. You will also support safe and efficient operation of water treatment and distribution systems by collaborating closely with colleagues to drive continuous improvement and reliability.
- Evaluating and maintaining electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Carrying out routine maintenance tasks such as inspection, repair, and replacement of equipment
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to electrical systems, including pumps and bore field equipment
- Providing assistance in optimizing HMI and PLC system performance
- Maintaining high safety standards and contributing to hazard identification and reporting
- Relevant trade certification as an Electrician or equivalent experience
- Experience with HMI and PLC systems and a passion for learning
- Strong safety record and commitment to safe work practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Field experience with bore fields, water pumps, and chlorination systems
- Valid Australian C Class Driver's Licence
- Completion of Operate and Maintain 4WD course
