Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned hotel asset professional to join our organisation in Melbourne, Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management of a diverse hotel portfolio, collaborating closely with clients, owners, and stakeholders to drive investment returns.

You will be a key member of our hospitality team, leveraging your expertise in hotel operational management, financial analysis, and strategic planning to deliver business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee the achievement of strategic asset management and business plans tailored to each client hotel.
  • Analyse financial statements to identify value drivers against budgets, forecasts, industry, and competitor benchmarks.
  • Conduct regular meetings with hotel owners and managers to assess trading performance, compliance, and pinpoint areas for improved owner returns.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly reports to clients, offering well-crafted commentary and analysis on key performance indicators, along with strategic advice to support sales and marketing efforts.
  • Proactively identify and manage risk and compliance, assisting in the design and implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with hotel General Managers, department heads, and hotel staff, ensuring operational excellence and best practice across all property departments.
  • Foster active communication with industry stakeholders, representing clients' interests in stakeholder meetings and operational reviews.

For this role, we are looking for an adaptable individual with diverse hotel management experience across operational, financial, investment, and development aspects. Ideally, you will have a consistent track record of achievement (of at least 5 years' experience) within a global hotel management company or consultancy.

To succeed in this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A client-centric approach with a high degree of persistence and patience to seek out improved solutions.
  • Extensive hotel operational management expertise within branded and third-party settings.
  • An engaging leadership style to collaborate and bring the best out of hotel departmental heads and varied stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
