Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee our capital and operational project portfolio.

  • As the successful candidate, you will be working within a dynamic team delivering projects to our operations, focusing on value, safety, quality, cost, schedule, environment, community, stakeholders, compliance, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Driving a culture of safety and maintaining safe work practices by modelling and coaching behaviour that influences people to be proactive about safety.
  • Setting and enforcing behavioural standards at work and ensuring all activities comply with safety management policies and procedures.
  • Promote and be an advocate of a positive reporting culture which includes hazards identified are reported and celebrated. Incidents / injuries are treated immediately to ensure minimum harm to personnel.
  • To provide advice and execute tasks, to deliver the approved business objectives, within the constraints of scope, time, quality, and budget.
  • Coordinate Contractor mobilisation and facilitate Safe Start meetings.
  • Monitor and Manage the Contractors compliance.
  • Supervise on-site contractor and sub-contractor groups to ensure that technical and quality standard and expected site progress is achieved.
  • Attend and contribute to operational meetings and reporting.
  • Develop and plan work permits.
  • People management including performance feedback, managing conflict, ensuring policy, process and procedure are being followed and setting the standard through leading by example.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Supervisor of Contractors and/or trades personnel.
  • Trades Qualification - Mechanical or Electrical background preferably.
  • Training on S1,2,3 or G1,2,7-8-9.
  • Electrical or Mechanical or Civil Experience in mining, industrial or heavy industry.
  • Effective Communication skills.
  • Strong influencing and decision-making capability.
