Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to ensure enhanced machine performance and an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure machines meet customer expectations.
  • Respond promptly to machine issues in the field and resolve them efficiently.
  • Solve operational or mechanical efficiency problems.
  • Troubleshoot machine problems and performance issues.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks including pre-season and post-season servicing of machines.
  • Remove and install mechanical components such as shafts, bearings, belts, motors.
  • Collaborate with engineering and/or research and development teams to improve work instructions and documents.
  • Maintain close relationships with sales leadership and provide customer updates.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
  • Evaluate the use of company tools and equipment and maintain them to prevent unnecessary deterioration.

Requirements:

  • A relevant university degree level qualification in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Trade Certification is preferred.
  • At least two years' experience in a similar field (preferably AgriTech industry).
  • Relevant experience in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics/electrical assembly and wiring.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems.
  • Working knowledge of PC and MS office suite.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A positive attitude with a strong customer service mindset.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in various environments, including food processing plants, farms, cold storage facilities, and outside in different temperatures.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime, as requested.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively up to 40% of the time.
