Delivering business growth and innovation through collaborative efforts across the Board Strategy Review (BSR) is a key goal of this position. A seasoned Solution Designer will collaborate with our Mortgages Product and Servicing Delivery Train, working on various initiatives to achieve strategic objectives.

This role involves steering optimal solution designs by engaging with Business and Architecture teams from the inception of an idea. The ideal candidate will provide guidance to ensure efficient and effective delivery of the bank's initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive options, exploring creativity to achieve quality solution designs
  • Coordinate architecture, business, system SMEs, and IT squads to achieve a common understanding of the problem and agree on a solution
  • Engage with courage when faced with challenges and escalate when necessary
  • Listen to and value expertise from Architects, the Business, and IT Squads
  • Challenge where required and accept pragmatic, cost-effective solutions over ideal ones

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Solution Designer
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to balance strategic ideals, business demands, future proofing, speed to market, and tech debt minimisation
  • Prior experience in the Mortgages Application Technology Domain is an advantage
  • Prior experience in Agile delivery is favourable
