Senior Contracts Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Specialist to join a high-profile resources project in Western Australia. This is a 12-month agency contract with competitive rates and the opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of major construction and services contracts.

This hands-on, site-based position involves overseeing the administration of a range of contracts from mobilisation through to close-out. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance, manage performance, and drive value across the supply chain while collaborating closely with site teams including construction, engineering, planning, HSE, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer construction and services contracts in line with project requirements.
  • Support the Contract Manager with performance management, claims, and risk mitigation.
  • Manage variations, site instructions, extensions of time, and daywork claims.
  • Perform cost forecasting, reporting, and contractor progress reviews.
  • Liaise with legal representatives on contractual matters and negotiations.
  • Ensure HSE standards are embedded in all contract administration activities.

Requirements:

  • Extensive contracts administration experience on major EPC/EPCM projects, ideally in the resources sector.
  • Strong knowledge of contract terms, negotiation, and claims management.
  • Proficiency in procurement/project systems such as Unifier or Aconex.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to HSE and ethical business practices.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
