We are seeking a skilled and experienced Recovery Coordinator to support a NSW Government client in the coordination of injury management services for workers with non-work related injuries and health conditions.

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the recovery and return to work of employees. Your primary purpose will be to oversee the Recovery at Work programs for employees with non-work related injuries or health conditions, ensuring timely and efficient return to work in line with medical advice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Recovery Plans: Create tailored Recovery at Work programs to facilitate the recovery of non-work related injured or ill employees.
  • Case Management and Coordination: Monitor recovery plans, ensuring compliance with medical guidance and recovery goals.
  • Fitness for Work Assessments: Collaborate with management teams and P&C Business Partners to assess fitness for work and facilitate necessary medical assessments.
  • Claims Support: Liaise with Claims Officers to ensure employees are informed of their entitlements and assist with income protection cases.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain a confidential case notes database and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with privacy regulations.
  • Return to Work Promotion: Promote the benefits of recovery at work across teams and attend relevant meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Case Management: Proven experience in case management for non-work related injuries and health conditions, including the development of recovery plans.
  • Return to Work Programs: Strong understanding of implementing Return to Work programs and familiarity with relevant public sector policies.
  • Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate and present effectively.
  • SIRA Accreditation: SIRA accreditation as a Return to Work Coordinator or equivalent qualification is highly regarded.
  • IT Proficiency: Proficient in using information technology systems for case management and reporting.
  • Independence and Collaboration: Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
