Policy Support Officer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Support Officer to join our Real Estate, Proc & Ops Team in Perth on a fixed term full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and prepare policy administration activities, including quote preparation, new business, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals, in mainframe or web applications specific to Workers Compensation.
  • Monitor and action centralized mailboxes or Insurance Workflow systems.
  • Action and process exceptions from extended offshore teams, ensuring work flows to the correct next step for customers.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as requested by Technical Officers or Leaders, identifying trends to reduce referral exceptions or improve customer experience.
  • Support Underwriting requests as required.
  • Maintain knowledge of our products and insurance guidelines.
  • Adhere to the functional alignment model, prioritizing customer needs.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience and high performance in a business operations role.
  • Proven ability to balance multiple key deliverables in a dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing data input activities.
  • Developing problem-solving skills, including the ability to consider different solutions and apply judgment to resolve minor issues.
  • Analytical skills, applying underwriting guidelines to prepare recommendations for individual risk acceptance or declinature.
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to deal with difficult customers and build relationships at all levels.
  • Computer literacy and navigation skills.
