About Workplace Mentor Role

This position aims to support and guide Australian Apprentices and Employers in the workplace, enhancing overall retention rates.

To achieve this, the successful candidate will engage with stakeholders, provide guidance, and communicate effectively to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with employers and apprentices to address difficulties and provide assistance where needed.
  • Offer guidance and support to improve retention rates.
  • Regularly communicate with stakeholders to ensure successful results.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications or current studies in social work, counseling, or psychology.
  • Formal education in coaching or mentoring.
  • Preparedness to undertake a Diploma of Counselling if no suitable qualifications exist.
  • Experience in social sciences, behavioral sciences, youth work, or community development services.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and communicate with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships and gaining confidence.
  • Able to obtain a Working With Children Check and National Police Check.
