Experienced Underground Mobile Equipment Technician

This role presents an opportunity to advance your career by joining a global mining services organisation. As an Experienced Underground Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for enhancing the skills and knowledge of local workers by sharing your experience and being a role model.
We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a strong background in working with latest generation underground mobile equipment and associated automation systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years post apprenticeship experience working within the underground mining industry on large mobile equipment.
- Perform scheduled servicing to mobile equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with procedures, regulations and the service sheet;
- Utilise skill and experience to create minimum downtime on machinery;
- Ensure correct recording and reporting of maintenance is achieved;
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping in workshop and working areas at all times, ensure all parts are kept at minimum stock levels;
- Read and interpret Service and Spare parts manuals;
- Report all equipment faults to the Maintenance Foreman for scheduling into the workshop weekly;
The successful candidate will have a proven knowledge on remote control systems either RCT or Automine and experience on Caterpillar Underground Loaders. A full pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing, site specific clearances, National Police Clearance and necessary tickets or qualifications are required. Please note that an array of vaccinations are required when working in Canada.
