Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Canada.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and safety-focused individual to work with our underground mining operations. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our mobile equipment, providing expert maintenance and repair services to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and perform routine servicing on mobile equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance with regulations
  • Utilize technical expertise to maximize equipment uptime and reduce maintenance costs
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues to the Maintenance Foreman
  • Ensure a high level of housekeeping in workshop and working areas, minimizing stock levels and optimizing parts inventory
  • Analyze and interpret Service and Spare Parts manuals to resolve equipment faults
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated passion for safety and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
  • Sound knowledge of Sandvik U/G Development/Production Drills and Loaders, as well as Caterpillar Underground Loaders
  • Proven experience with remote control systems (RCT or Automine)
  • Ability to train and mentor less experienced tradespeople in a fast-paced underground contracting environment
  • Strong background in working with latest generation underground mobile equipment and associated automation systems
  • At least 5 years post-apprenticeship experience in the underground mining industry on large mobile equipment
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent service and maintenance approach to the role
  • International Drivers License
