Mobile Equipment Electrician Wanted

We are seeking a skilled and experienced electrical technician to join our operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of underground mobile equipment and associated automation systems.
The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out scheduled servicing to mobile equipment in a safe manner, utilizing their skills and experience to minimize downtime on machinery. They will also be required to ensure correct recording and reporting of maintenance is achieved and maintain a high level of housekeeping in the workshop and working areas at all times.
A strong background working with the latest generation underground mobile equipment and associated automation systems is essential for this role. Additionally, the candidate should have a proven track record of training less qualified tradespeople to a high standard in a high productivity underground contracting mining environment.
- Carry out scheduled servicing to mobile equipment in a safe manner;
- Utilize skills and experience to create minimum downtime on machinery;
- Ensure correct recording and reporting of maintenance is achieved;
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping in workshop and working areas at all times;
- Read and interpret Service and Spare parts manuals;
- Report all equipment faults to the Maintenance Foreman for scheduling into the workshop weekly.
- A sound knowledge on Sandvik U/G Development/Production Drills and Loaders;
- Experience on Caterpillar Underground Loaders;
- Proven knowledge on remote control systems either RCT or Automine;
- At least 5 years post apprenticeship experience working within the underground mining industry on large mobile equipment;
- Self-starter who will work with minimal supervision;
- Excellent service and maintenance approach to the job.
International Drivers License is an asset but not a requirement for this position.
