Auto Electrician Role

We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our team in a challenging role that involves ensuring the smooth operation of our mobile equipment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out scheduled servicing on mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to established procedures and regulations.
  • Utilise your expertise to minimise downtime on machinery, ensuring optimal performance at all times.
  • Record and report maintenance activities accurately, maintaining high standards of housekeeping in workshop and working areas.
  • Read and interpret Service and Spare parts manuals with ease.
  • Report any equipment faults to the Maintenance Foreman for scheduling into the workshop weekly.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A passion for safety and a proactive attitude towards ensuring the well-being of all employees.
  • A sound knowledge of Sandvik U/G Development/Production Drills and Loaders, as well as experience with Caterpillar Underground Loaders.
  • Proven knowledge of remote control systems, either RCT or Automine.
  • Experience in training less qualified tradespeople to a high standard in a high productivity underground contracting mining environment.
  • A strong background in working with latest generation underground mobile equipment and associated automation systems.
  • At least 5 years post-apprenticeship experience working within the underground mining industry on large mobile equipment.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and a self-starter mentality.
  • Excellent service and maintenance approach to the job.
  • An International Driver's License.
