
Data Collection Specialist

This is a unique opportunity to join our organization as a Building Auditor.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting data on the condition of various buildings, using tablets, taking photographs, room measurements, 3D image scans, and collecting other data as directed.
The role involves travelling from home to a range of sites across Tasmania, (majority being located in population dense areas) collecting information on the type, location and condition of relevant mechanical/electrical building systems, fixtures and building fabrics (cladding, walls, floor coverings, ceilings).
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Identify and record data on the type, location and condition of relevant mechanical/electrical building systems, fixtures and building fabrics (cladding, walls, floor coverings, ceilings).
- Provide thorough and accurate data capture, ensuring data is upload as directed to minimise risk of data loss.
- Craft highly precise and detailed reports for assessments when required.
- Actively engage with the team to maintain accuracy and verify data capture quality.
- Taking room measurements and sketching basic floorplans.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrated experience with inspections/data capture projects across large commercial buildings.
- Access to a reliable vehicle, a valid Australian driver's license, and willingness to travel.
- Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People or the ability to obtain one.
- Exceptional level of attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Proficient with the use and basic troubleshooting of smartphones, laptops, tablets and cameras.
- Professional demeanour and the capability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
