Job Title: Casual Library Officer

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our library team as a Casual Library Officer.

About the Role:
  • This is an excellent opportunity to engage with the community while delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic and bustling library environment.
  • You will be working in partnership with a local council, promoting awareness and understanding of library services, resources, and facilities.
  • As a valued member of the library team, you will actively engage with patrons, fostering meaningful interactions and enhancing their experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide proactive and high-quality customer service in alignment with the library's customer charter.
  2. Assist patrons with using library electronic resources, devices, and applications, including basic troubleshooting.
  3. Promote awareness and understanding of library services, resources, and facilities.
  4. Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and improve work practices.
Requirements:
  • A strong customer service ethic and a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Sound Digital Literacy Skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Minimum availability of 3 days per week.
