Assistant Manager Job Opportunity at Chandler Macleod

  We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Manager to join our team at Chandler Macleod. As a key member of our business services team, you will be responsible for managing a variety of accounting and financial tasks, as well as providing guidance and support to junior staff members.

About the Role:

  Key responsibilities of the Assistant Manager include:

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and Business Activity Statements (BAS): Manage the preparation of FBT returns and BAS Statements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of junior staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and they receive exceptional service.
  • Collaboration with Partners: Collaborate with partners on strategic planning and financial reporting to drive business growth and success.

Requirements:

  To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, and CA or CPA qualifications.
  • Experience: Multiple years of experience in a business services or accounting firm, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to clients and stakeholders.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, with a collaborative approach to achieving business objectives.
