The JETMAX division is a key part of Flight Centre Travel Group's (FCTG) growth strategy, comprising of BYOjet.com, Aunt Betty.com.au, and Student Universe.

This role is based in Brisbane or the Gold Coast, with a requirement to spend 2 days per week in the Gold Coast office. As a Financial Leadership Specialist, you will have the opportunity to partner with business leaders and develop your financial and business skills.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing financial support to the JETMAX Leadership team, specifically the GM of the business
  • Ensuring the financial well-being and stability of BYOjet and Aunt Betty, addressing financial control, data integrity, and managing multiple overseas accounts
  • Spearheading the transition of the Student Universe brand onto the Jetmax finance systems
  • Driving growth through cost management across the three brands, with a focus on scalability strategies and identifying new revenue sources
  • Forecasting and assisting in driving results, while managing a team of young financial professionals
  • Building critical relationships with internal discipline leaders and FCTG expert teams

Key Accountabilities

Financial Control, Risk Mitigation & Data Integrity

  • Ensuring internal and external audit requirements are met, with no surprises
  • Ensuring the Balance Sheet is accurate and up-to-date
  • Developing a strong culture of financial control within the team
  • Managing all required Head Office reporting and compliance requirements
  • Collaborating with management and FCTG finance experts to mitigate business risks
  • Ensuring data integrity in all aspects of financial transactions

Commercial Support and Business Partnering

  • Assisting the GM with commercial negotiations
  • Working in a dynamic environment to identify and implement revenue opportunities
  • Performing ongoing financial modelling to support business growth
  • Identifying process efficiencies and implementing solutions

Finance Lead for Brand Migration

  • Leading the finance team in the project, ensuring delivery of requirements and expectations
  • Developing and managing project plans
  • Managing all aspects of project execution, in alignment with approved project plans and strategic business goals

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a financial leadership role
  • Previous experience with systems implementation highly desirable
  • Experience in a fast-moving business is also desirable
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a finance-related role
  • CA or CPA qualification with a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics or Finance
