Payroll Professional

Job Summary:

  • Process and manage weekly payroll in accordance with relevant awards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and process employee timesheets to ensure accurate payment.
  • Support payroll tax and superannuation calculations and lodgements.
  • Perform month-end leave reconciliations and reporting to facilitate timely payments.
  • Assist with end-of-month activities and generate payroll reports to inform business decisions.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records in collaboration with the People team.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to payroll-related queries from employees and managers.
  • Ensure compliance with timesheet and payroll processes.
  • Perform ad-hoc payroll-related tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation.
  • At least one year of payroll processing experience (hospitality experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with payroll software such as Deputy and/or Wage Easy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate work.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach to resolving queries.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work well within a team.
