Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Compensation Specialist to join our Shared Services function at our Head Office in Sydney Olympic Park. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing end-to-end compensation with precision and timeliness, ensuring compliance with relevant awards, agreements, and legislation.

The Role

  • Process compensation weekly and month with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, staying up-to-date on changes.
  • Conduct compensation checks, reconciliation, and manage statutory requirements such as redundancy payments and workers' compensation.
  • Handle backpay, pay adjustments, and employee timesheet adjustments.
  • Identify errors and propose corrective actions to improve accuracy and efficiency, updating and maintaining compensation records.
  • Assist with month-end reporting and year-end reconciliation.
  • Prepare tax and superannuation calculations for lodgment.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in compensation administration.
  • Proficient understanding of compensation legislation, taxation, and superannuation.
  • Experience with Access Micropay and HumanForce is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organisation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive ability to work with staff at all levels from the operating business units within the Group and interact with external parties.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and seek continuous improvement in systems and processes.
